Michaela Sanchez will be starting at Yale University this coming fall. She will be pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing with a concentration in acute care. Michaela graduated from the IB Dept at UC Berkeley in 2018. While an undergraduate, Michaela was a URAP student in the Patel lab, carrying out research into the evolution of Hox genes in crustaceans. Michaela, Priyanka Pradhan and Jeremy Chen worked closely with Nipam to study the expression of Antp in multiple species of crustaceans. We wish her the best of luck, and hope she might come visit the Patel lab in our new digs at the MBL.
