Jenny joined the lab in the Fall of 2017 after completing a Master’s at Cal Poly Pomona with Dr. Angel Valdes. For her thesis, she focused on the systematics and taxonomy of the bivalved sea slug family Juliidae (Mollusca: Heterobranchia: Sacoglossa). In the Patel lab, she is interested in the combinatorial control of Hox genes in gammarid amphipod limb specification.
