Sophomore Panda Kreidler wins a Biology Fellows Program summer grant to perform research in the Patel lab this summer. Panda will be studying the role of Hox co-factors in Parhyale limb specification. As told by the BFP application site:

This research experience is not designed simply to provide technical training. It is intended to involve curious undergraduates in exploring biological questions. Top candidates will be interested in learning about a research laboratory, research careers, asking questions at the bench, and learning how to effectively use the scientific method to investigate a biological problem.

Panda is also a member of the Biology Scholars Program and was chosen to attend this summer’s QB3 Bootcamp. Congratulations, Panda! We look forward to all the results of your research this summer.
